Having run Raggalds years ago, Richard came forward to run it again as II&T was due to carry out a major investment. Raggalds is truly his pride and joy – his ‘baby’. With a newly invested, reconfigured function room – Raggalds now hosts weddings, parties, cabaret nights, a luncheon club and much more – apart from our normal delicious food and drink. Richard can indulge his creative character with the backing and support of II&T. We LOVE a pub personality with passion!

We have been with II&T for 6 years. During that time we have created a very successful business and a home for ourselves – not to mention a great team of staff. Hardwork, listening to our customers and immersing ourselves in the community has really paid off. We have been supported and encourage by II&T, who have made us feel part of the wider team. Last summer we created a beautiful, fantastic garden scheme – with a garden room to host events – which enhanced an already picturesque site. We have a second pub under our management – The Church House at Buglawton, which is similar in culture and profile. We are also about to take another under our wing – The George & Dragon at Charlesworth. There are lots of career enhancing opportunities within the company – something for everyone!

I have worked with II&T for 14 years in total – firstly as part of the bar team and for the last 4 years as Manager of the Union Exchange. As a single parent, I never imagined that I could have reached this position so early in my career. II&T gave me the opportunity to realize my potential and supported me to do so. Not only do I manage a lively, young persons venue, but I have also provided a great family home

We had always wanted to run a pub, but had reached that time in life when we didn’t think we would realize our dream! We had transferable skills and lived in the local area of Aklam – The Grenadier was our ‘local’ and a great place for social gatherings and meeting up with family and friends – a real pivotal part of the community. When the pub became available, we immediately applied and Inglenook Inns & Taverns gave us a chance, feeling that we were ideal candidates for the pub – the recent investment has been the ‘icing on the cake’. This could be you – dream come true!!
